Not an antique shop but still worthy of the list, Wallpaper and Home Consignments is so close to the Old Made Good store that you might as well stop in while you’re in the area. Known by all who are renovating their homes as the place to be when you want the largest selection of wallpaper, this shop is a high quality furniture and home décor consignment shop that can even order more for you based on their samples. Except for Sundays, you came come in from 10 am – 5 pm throughout the week and find the prime match for the aesthetic that you crave in your home. Since 2014, Wallpaper and Home Consignments has been proudly serving the Nashville area.
What was once known as the old 8th Avenue Antique Mall, East Nashville Antiques and Vintage on Gallatin Pike is the type of place that you set aside at least an hour (or three) to shop. Full to the brim with inventory that is added to daily, this store has more than its fair share of vintage goods. Fanny’s House of Music on Holly Street is understood to be where you go when you want to buy your instruments secondhand or even get one you already own looked at for repairs. Did you know that this cute little house also features a room full of vintage clothes? Whether you are a musician wanting to expand your collection, alter/fix what you already have or a fashionista seeking out a specific decade for your next concert, you are sure to leave with exactly what you need after a trip to Fanny’s House. Instantly recognizable by the paintings and doodles on the front windows, Backslide Vintage on Gallatin Pike is reputed to feel like home the second you walk in. Go and say hello to their mascot dog Sam and see what you can find. Open from 11 am – 6 pm (closing early at 5 pm on Sundays) you can find clothing for any gender, style or classic decade. Locally owned by two musicians who can’t wait to talk to you about their inventory, Backslide Vintage is a piece of Nashville treasure that feels more like a trip to your best friend’s house than a store.
Immediately noticeable on Madison Street by the big blue letters, matching the shade of their door, Bit’s & Pieces Antique Boutique is a mash up of boutique style inventory alongside vintage pieces (and bits) that fit perfectly into the Germantown area of Nashville. During the week, stop in from 11 am – 6 pm, with slightly varying hours on the weekends. Equal parts fancy boutique and antique store, there’s more than enough to browse on the shelves of Bits & Pieces. You even get free shipping on orders over 50$ when you buy online. Female owned and started right in the middle of 2020 when many other businesses were not able to stay afloat, Be Good Market on Houston Street is new to the storefront but not new to the art of vintage collecting and sales. Not only are you able to find the clothing that you’ve always wanted but these fabulous ladies are even able to aid in the styling process as they offer a variety of services along with their incredible consignment selection. Closed Monday-Wednesday, you can visit this storefront from 11 am – 6 pm Thursday-Sunday and don’t forget to take a look at their website’s events calender. There’s always something fun going on that supports other local businesses so you won’t want to miss out!
Varying hours throughout the week means you will need to take a trip to their website to be certain that they are open before coming in but trust us, one trip to the site will have you running straight to Music Valley Antiques & Marketplace on Music Valley Drive. Fair priced boots, jewelry, antique furniture and much more is waiting for you every day (except Tuesday when they are only open for appointments) with a cheerful staff that is ready to answer any questions you might think of. Look for them near Crackle Barrel and the Fiddler’s Inn and prepare to spend more time than anticipated browsing, there’s so much to be found at Music Valley Antiques & Marketplace.
Open every day except Tuesday and Sunday, a visit to Decent Folk Vintage can be added to your list of Nashville must stop locations is sure to leave any folk who come in feeling satisfied. Monday and Wednesday, wait until 12 pm to visit but early risers can rejoice on Thursday, Friday and Saturday when they open at 10 am. Any day they are open, they close doors at 5 pm and you may want to make this trip more than once. Every employee has a passion for all things from the past and are ready to give you the experience that comes with a locally owned store from the second you walk in until check out. Since 2016, Decent Folk Vintage has provided wares from the 1880’s all the way up to the 1980’s and encourage niche collectors to seek them out. Nolensville Pike has been home to this location since their move in 2020 and they have no intention of stopping anytime.
