You’re guaranteed an epic night of drinks, friends and more fun than you can imagine. Let’s begin with some haunted houses and make our way to the more “friendly” sector of happenings, buckle up and get ready to be scared senseless.
Nashville Nightmare
★ 4.3
Not for the faint at heart or easily terrified, Nashville Nightmare is rumored to be the experience straight out of your worst nightmares. Featuring a variety of themes to choose from, this is not just some old abandoned building decorated with spider webs. Not only can you pick from various styles of here like Horror High and Asylum, they even have an axe throwing sector. Don’t be confused though, we don’t throw axes at the creepy actors, there is another section of the building just for that. Located at Madison Square, this is not the place to bring along children under the age of 12. Signing a waver is mandatory but more than worth it. If you’re the type of person that just doesn’t get scared by “haunted” attractions anymore, don’t count Nashville Nightmare out of the game.

Beast House
★ 4.2
Beast House is so confident in their ability to scare the pants off of anyone, that you will get your money back if you can make it through the entire attraction without ditching. Housed in the well known Kechem Family Mansion, where the grisly history is enough to scare visitors off before even beginning the walk inside, there’s definitely got to be something more to this attraction. After spending some time as a nightclub in 1951, the doors closed for many years until becoming Beast House. While 2020 restrictions won’t allow the normal challenge (eat something, drink something, do something) this year, 2021 will return with double the intensity. Even without the “challenge”, Beast House is freaking terrifying. If you don’t believe us, head out and find out for yourself.

Cheekwood Estates Scarecrows and Pumpkins
★ 4.6
Searching for a variety of activities that the entire family can participate in? If that sounds like you, look no further than Cheekwood Estates. They have enough going on from the end of September, through October, to keep someone busy for a full year. Too bad they don’t keep it open that long, right?
Luckily for all of you, we are in full haunting swing and you still have plenty of time to make it to one of many fabulous events. If you’re craving the nostalgia of an old fashioned pumpkin patch but with a photo op guaranteed to go viral on the gram, they’ve got it. Two houses made entirely of pumpkins provide the perfect backdrop for that family photo or even a first date memory. Standing at 11 feet tall, one is made of classic orange pumpkins while the other is a bit more abstract. Stop in for yourself and see what we mean. Orange does not have to be the only fall color in the wheel. But, if you’re the type to enjoy that classic look, just walk to the mum overdrive. Every year, thousands of chrysanthemums in shade of reds, yellows and oranges are planted in honor of the harvest. Even dog themed events are constantly happening, this really is fun for the whole family, fur-babies included. Check the website to find out about dog themed nights and bring your pooch for a great time. Keep an eye out for future blog posts about what Creekwood Estates has going on during the upcoming holiday season. We here at Nashville Bar Bike will be sure to keep you up to date.

Things to Do at Home
Here at Nashville Bar Bike, our main priority is the safety and well being of our valued guests (yes, that means YOU, reader) and we know that 2020 has been an… awkward experience to say the least. Though there is not as much going on this year in comparison to those prior, there is still more than enough to enjoy with your family and friends for Halloween. Every activity on our list has been adjusted to adhere to standards set to minimize risk of being out in public. But, if you’re someone who just does not want to go out in public, here are a few options for you and yours. We just want everyone to be able to enjoy this spooky season and those upcoming. So, here is a short list of activities that you can do at home.
Pumpkin Carving
Classic activity that never gets old, pumpkin carving is a safe way to celebrate and grab a shot or two for the gram’ with a #Halloween to grab attention. Try out a carving stencil or get creative and use your drill for dot effects. With all of the multicolored pumpkins available, there’s virtually no limits to what you can make. Don’t forget to upload a shot with the hashtag #NashvilleBarBike so we can see what you all came up with.
Zoom Call Costume Party
What a world we live in, right? Technology has brought us together so much in 2020 and Zoom has become “the” spot to hang out online. So why not dress up all of the family and host a Zoom call with your favorite friends and family members? If you can convince Grandma and Grandpa to dress up for the event, you’ll have won Halloween.
Mini Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunts are a fun way to kill some time while remaining within the confines of your own property. Gather up various Halloween themed trinkets and hide them throughout the house, make up a checklist and then send the kids (or adults, we don’t judge here at Nashville Bar Bike) and ready, set, go! Add a creepy Halloween playlist to the mix for some ambiance.
Horror Movie Marathon
Remember back when every scary movie had a sequel? How about the movies that had at least 3? No matter what you’re looking for in the cinematic world, there is bound to be a flick related to Halloween that you didn’t realize you wanted to re-watch. Take this year as an opportunity to catch up on something like Friday the 13th or Nightmare on Elm Street and then challenge yourself to finish the entire series. Now is your chance to have an excuse to do so. There’s always a silver lining, right?
Halloween Crafting
What better excuse to bust out the old crafting supplies is there than Halloween? Go through the house and gather up all of your old odds and ends to make some eerie art projects. The best part of creating creepy art is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. So, fire up that Pinterest and try your hand as some trippy crafting projects.
Conclusion
Whether you’re planning to go out for Halloween, or stay in and have a good time, there’s a plethora of activities for Halloween in 2020, despite all that has been going on. We just want everyone to have a fantastic time making memories no matter what your preference might be. So, suit up and get ready to enjoy Halloween 2020 like never before.
