If this is not your first visit to the blog, then you know that Music City celebrates any chance we can and New Years Eve is one big excuse to have everyone come out, or stay in. Though it goes without saying, you won’t get very far without finding some live music. Heck, a harder time in Nashville on New Years Eve would be trying to not find some sort of live musical acts. Big name acts, local bands, tributes, you name it and there is someone selling tickets for it. Keep on reading to learn all you need to know about what Nashville has to offer for New Years Eve. While most of our list compiled includes musical acts, you might be surprised to find a couple of low-key events thrown in to the mix. Read until the end to find out what our favorite choice ended up being.
Whether you want to come out to party with thousands of your friends, or watch comfortably from home, Nashville’s Big Bash is just that! Known for being the biggest New Years Eve party in the area, you can expect one epic musical encounter of 2021 and 2022! Sponsored by Jack Daniel’s, Nashville’s Big Bash will be taking place in Centennial Park. Complete with food trucks, photo booths and even free sodas/water for designated drivers! Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Darius Rucker are only a handful of acts you’ll witness at Jack Daniel’s Live: Nashville’s Big Bash! Gather around the stage or tune in to CBS and watch the music note drop with everyone in Nashville. You’re not going to believe this lineup! If staying on dry land isn’t the move, then ring in the new year on the General Jackson Showboat this year to the musical styling of The Perry Danos Big Band. From Sinatra to pop and back again with jazz, Perry Danos is a Chicago bred musician who is known for the epic energy brought to every performance. Go see what all the hype is about when you take to the gorgeous Cumberland River at 8pm for dinner and dancing. Perfect for date night, family parties and any group of friends you could muster, the General Jackson Showboat is ready to say goodbye to 2021 with you and yours!

Located in The Joseph Hotel, you won’t even have to plan an overnight stay if you book a room early. Entertainment, drinks and not having to drive, seems like all boxes are checked when you bring in 2022 at Denim. Come in at 9:30 to start the party!
While you are checking into plans to stay at The Joseph Hotel already, take a moment to consider New Years Eve at Yolan. Not your typical New Years Eve celebration, this experience is for those who wish to take a trip by way of their taste buds. Featuring top tier menu items over the span of 5-8 courses and wine pairings for each, choose from two reservation timing options. Take your pick from 5 pm or 9 pm choices, all details are available on their event page. Be sure to look into their New Years Day brunch if you plan to stay the night. Any time you can get in for a meal at Yolan is a good time but the New Years specials are truly divine.
Join The Spazmatics for a New Years Eve at the Nashville Palace that is drenched in Nostalgia of the 80’s variety. Boasting the show that personifies “all you would like to forget” about that decade, The Spazmatics are true 80’s kids (grown up) who can’t seem to get enough of what made their adolescence so fun. From skinny ties to synthetic sounds, everything about 80’s aesthetic that we all not so secretly remember with a fondness takes the stage this New Years Eve. Prepare for an evening of your favorites and bring in 2022 like it’s 1980! Book your tickets quickly, seats are going fast and plan for doors at 7:30 pm. While the science of time travel has been long debated and questioned, an evening spent with The Spazmatics is the closest you might find to actually stepping back.
Arrive early to enjoy this FREE concert with local band Zeona Road at Assembly Hall, located on level 2 of the Fifth + Broadway development. Assembly hall is the place to be for foodies and those struggling with finding a place to eat that everyone will be able to enjoy. Food and drinks from over thirty different bars and restaurants are available to choose from and rain can’t stop the celebration. Zeona Road is a South Dakota native, currently local band living in Nashville. You might recognize their name from regularly playing at the infamous Tootsie’s bar. Country music has never been so thrilling as when Zeona Road takes the stage. Take advantage of the free show and have a blast with Nashville’s finest in food while celebrating the end of 2021. Everyone is bound to find at least a drink special to get excited about at the Assembly Hall.
Take a step back to the 00’s and sing along to all of your favorite hits by Britney Spears, Fall Out Boy and more, performed by a super group of Nashville musicians. Located about half a mile from downtown Nashville, Mercy Lounge is a second story venue that regularly hosts the greats in music from all genres. If jamming along to top hits of the millennium is the kind of vibe you’re trying to bring into 2022, look no further than Mercy Lounge on Cannery Row.
When you are the type who would rather stay in and relax after the Christmas season and unwind Sahajayoga Meditation has the option for you.
